Inverted magic ring: what it is and how to make it.
El Pony TejedorWHAT IS THE INVERTED MAGIC RING?
The inverted magic ring is a variation of the traditional magic ring that allows the center to be closed more cleanly and securely , preventing the typical hole from appearing with use or washing.
It is especially recommended for amigurumi , as it gives a more professional finish from the first round.
HOW TO MAKE AN INVERTED MAGIC RING STEP BY STEP?
- Cut the thread leaving a long strand and thread a yarn needle with that same thread.
- Insert the needle into each stitch of the last round, alternating the direction: in one stitch from the inside out and in the next from the outside in.
- Once you have worked through all the stitches, gently pull the yarn until the center is completely closed.
- Finally, secure the closure with a couple of stitches and hide the excess thread inside the piece.
