Inverted magic ring: what it is and how to make it.

El Pony Tejedor

WHAT IS THE INVERTED MAGIC RING?

The inverted magic ring is a variation of the traditional magic ring that allows the center to be closed more cleanly and securely , preventing the typical hole from appearing with use or washing.

It is especially recommended for amigurumi , as it gives a more professional finish from the first round.

HOW TO MAKE AN INVERTED MAGIC RING STEP BY STEP?

  1. Cut the thread leaving a long strand and thread a yarn needle with that same thread.
  2. Insert the needle into each stitch of the last round, alternating the direction: in one stitch from the inside out and in the next from the outside in.
  3. Once you have worked through all the stitches, gently pull the yarn until the center is completely closed.
  4. Finally, secure the closure with a couple of stitches and hide the excess thread inside the piece.
